Pornhub is the most successful adult content website because they understand marketing.
Content marketing is hard. One might still be able to get content over time without a strategy, but will it interest the right people? You need to consider things carefully, and, in addition to patience, you need a great deal of know-how in search engine marketing and especially in content marketing. But what can be done if you work in an industry that reputable media articles do not want to link to?
You refuse to give up and think creatively and do something that is worth linking. A few years ago Pornhub invented "Pornhub Insights". Using a lot of self-deprecating humor, they regularly publish interesting statistics that the world‘s media outlets gratefully flock to. And, just like that, you are one of Google’s big players after all.
To me, a perfect demonstration of how, if you really want to, you can always find a solution and a gap for your marketing and awareness.
And they make good advertisements too
They have outstandingly creative ads that you may have seen yourself. Their latest trick is marketing of a charity event. Pornhub supports action against plastic and pollution of the world’s oceans. And their creative team has come up with something very broadly effective. (You need to log in on YouTube, but it’s worth it.)
